- I always love to be upstairs on Sunday morning to see what kinds of things are going on. And so many things I see make me smile. So I decided to share with you some of the things that made me smile this past Sunday…
Tim and Carrie Laizure joined our teaching staff during the 1st service hour. They will be touching 3rd grade lives every 3rd Sunday!! Welcome! We’re glad to have you on board!
Our new Jr. high helpers began. Yeah! You are such a blessing to us, and we are grateful to have the extra help. It was so nice to be able to send a Jr. high helper with EVERY class this past week!
4/5th grade has been talking about service in past weeks so what better way to apply the lesson than to dig in and serve! Becky and Randy took their (large!) class downstairs and had the kids sort and unpack boxes for Share What You Wear! What an awesome way to put words into action!
As I was working on registration forms, I was listening to the 2nd grade classroom look up Bible verses. It was so encouraging to listen to them dig into God’s Word and be so excited when they found the verse Mr. Mike challenged them to find.
I’m sure there was much more of this great stuff going on that I didn’t see or hear! Thanks so much for your investment in the kids! You are making a difference!
Just a couple of things to remember:
1) Please turn in your “What do you think?” forms that were given to you on the appreciation night. We reallly want to know what you think!!
2) We are trying to gather registration forms from all of the students, and are slowly getting there. If you want a list of addresses/birthdays for your class, please e-mail Kim Novy. She has most of them in her files, and she has been so diligent to quickly get them to the ones who have already asked.
3) Once you have those addresses, use them! Maybe make a goal to write a couple of notes per week if it’s too daunting to do them all at once! A personal note from their teacher would mean the world. Sometimes we have no idea how something so small can mean so much!
